Payment Terms All fees are payable in advance or on arrival, IN FULL by DEBIT CARD or CASH. Charges are for each DAY your pet is boarded (e.g. overnight stay is 2 days). We charge for day in and day out. Your cat/dog’s accommodation will be available for your use from 9.00am on your arrival date until 5:00pm on your date of departure. Any pet not collected by 5:00pm will be subject to a charge of one extra day’s boarding. Please telephone for current boarding rates and other charges.
In the event of owners returning before the end of the booking, the full period will be charged, this includes daycare rates.
Booking deposits can be made by Debit Card, Cash, or Bank transfer by arrangement. We do not accept Credit Cards or Business cards. Deposits must be received within 7 days prior to the commencement of the booked date, otherwise you may lose your pets accommodation. All deposits are non-refundable and are unable to be transferred to a later date. Deposits are deducted from the final amount.
We reserve the right to revise our prices when necessary at any time. Customers will be advised prior to commencement of boarding. Our boarding charges include VAT, our pet food, heating and veterinary insurance cover up to the value of indemnity.
Pets sharing accommodation may be separated should we feel the need in the interest of their own safety or well-being, and the relevant charge for the extra accommodation will be levied. We will not board them together after an event on future bookings.
For Long Term Boarders the account is to be settled weekly in advance. In the event of the customer not settling the account within 14 days then Steeple Ashton Kennels and Cattery have the right to re-home the pet(s) as we see fit and appropriate.
Vaccinations and Canine Cough A CURRENT VETERINARY CERTIFICATE of vaccination or booster will be required for inspection at the time of admission, we cannot accept pets without this. Veterinary phone calls are chargeable.
By signing the contract between ourselves, you give Steeple Ashton Kennels and Cattery full consent to seek veterinary advice as we have a duty of care to your pet. We will administer any medication prescribed by the veterinarian if required. You also give the veterinary surgery we attend, full permission to provide medical treatment to ensure your pets welfare, and confirm all fees will be paid for upon your return. It would be beneficial for the owner and veterinary surgery, if the owner could advise them of any prior wishes concerning their pet whilst they are away.
All pets must be wormed and treated for fleas regularly. Should any be found whilst boarding with us, we will charge the full price for their veterinary treatment.
Transportation to the vets will be added to your boarding fee (There and back) including extra telephone calls.
Dogs must be fully inoculated against Distemper, Hepatitis, Parvovirus and Leptospirosis and must have had a booster injection within the previous twelve months. We ask that all dogs have the vaccination against Bordetella Infection (Canine cough) and where possible, 7-10 days prior to commencement of boarding. Please note that the vaccine does not guarantee complete immunity, please discuss this with your vet.
By law, all dogs must be micro-chipped, please supply the chip number on arrival.
Please also supply details of your Pets Insurance upon arrival, this helps the veterinary surgeries if your pet has to go for treatment.
Cats must be fully inoculated against Feline infectious enteritis and cat flu. Feline leukaemia is not compulsory but is recommended. Booster injections must have been received within the previous twelve months.
Diets, Medications and Belongings Veterinary prescribed medicines and treatments can be administered upon request, as well as the pets own dietary preference or veterinary food without variation in boarding charges, unless out of hours. We provide all feeding/drinking bowls, toys, beds and bedding, although we welcome familiar items from home. Steeple Ashton Kennels and Cattery cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal items.
Any special requirements ie pets to be fed separately, allergies, previous/current illness or disability must be disclosed to us prior to booking/boarding to ensure the welfare of your pet.
Insurance While in our care, all pets are covered by our veterinary insurance, excluding any pre-existing condition. Any fees incurred for this reason are the responsibility of the owner. Our insurance covers medications and veterinary treatment, though we cannot accept any liability beyond the value of indemnity. Any reports must be made within a maximum of 72 hours of leaving the premises. Receipts for veterinary treatment must be supplied and submitted to our insurance company within 21 days of treatment.
As required by current legislation we must be provided with an emergency telephone number(s), land line and mobile if possible. This can be yourself, a relative, friend or neighbour (UK ONLY).
Whilst every possible attention is given to each pet boarded with us, it is done so entirely at the owners risk and Steeple Ashton Kennels and Cattery cannot be held responsible for illness or loss from any cause.
Cancellations during peak periods must be notified to us earlier than 7 days before the start of the booking, or a 50% charge of the total booking value will become payable. AT NO TIME DO WE GIVE REFUNDS.
Abandoned Dogs/Cats If any animal is left for seven days beyond the booked departure date, without contact from the owner or a representative, the animal will be deemed abandoned. We will then follow the procedure to re-home or relocate the animal to a rescue centre. All boarding fees and other costs up until the time the animal is re-housed will remain the responsibility of the owner/representative.
Extra Charges Regrettably, due to bank charges, we do not take debit card payments for under £20.00. In the event that you arrive without proof of you pets vaccination and request we telephone your vets, this will incur a £1.00 charge at the time of making the call.
Pets requiring evening medication (after 6pm) will be administered (per pet) at an extra charge of £1.50 per day.
Any arrivals or departures out of hours (shown below) without prior arrangement will incur an OUT OF HOURS CHARGE of £20.00. Be aware you will probably be turned away……consider our boarders!
Bathing prices depend on size and breed and are available on request.
Pick up and return service prices available on request. Please note this service is not available on Sundays.
Our opening hours are as follows:
Monday to Saturday (not Tuesdays) – 9:00 am to 12:00pm and 3:00 pm to 5:00pm
Sunday – 10:00 am to 12:00 noon Tuesdays and Bank Holidays-Closed
The reception is closed on all Tuesdays and bank holidays; therefore pets cannot arrive or depart on those days. Pets must be delivered & collected strictly during our opening hours, this avoids disturbances to our guests and allows us to provide the care and attention your pet deserves.
Peak Periods Our peak periods are Easter, Summer & Christmas/New Year.
During peak periods, bookings are confirmed on receipt of your deposit.
During these times we are always in great demand and therefore unable to offer discounts other than our normal multiple occupancy discounts.
During our peak periods we do not give credits for shortened stays. All booked periods are charged at the full rate.
Outside of our peak periods we are happy to negotiate discounts for long stay occupancy. Any discounts negotiated are subject to fees being paid in accordance with our normal payment terms.
Your personal details and those of your pet will be stored for the purposes of providing you with boarding services. Please ask us by email if you wish to receive invoices or confirmation of a booking by email and that you give us permission to use your email address for this purpose. Your details will be kept safe and will not be used for any other purpose, nor sold or rented to any third party.
